Kristy Andersen screens 35 minutes of her new documentary Jack Kerouac’s Florida: The End of the Road, currently still in production, about Jack Kerouac’s final years in Florida. Andersen spent two years interviewing Kerouac’s friends and colleagues in and around St. Petersburg, and the film offers a fresh look at a time in Jack’s life when most assume he was miserable. “One of my interviews said Jack was not sad here,” said Andersen, “He was partying all the time. He was leading a good life with friends. This guy said Jack Kerouac’s relation with Florida is a love story, not a tragedy.”
