A big thank you to Books, Inc. for their generous donation last week—nearly two dozen surplus bookshelves and bookcases for the Counterculture Museum!

We’re grateful to be giving these shelves a second life on Haight Street, as the new Counterculture Museum will feature a bookstore and gift shop. We’ve already started filling the units with books, and it’s our hope that the museum experience will whet our visitors’ appetite for further reading about the social movements of the recent past, and we’ll have plenty of material to take home.
