Editor, Elias Wilentz said the volume here is an “attempt is to show the new young literary work of New  York’s Greenwich Village – its writers, its parties, its readings, its scene.”  Photos were taken between 1957 and 1960. Included are: Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Ted Joans, Gregory Corso, Diane di Prima, and others.
