At our Beatnik Shindig in 2015, David Meltzer gave a performance encapsulating 67 years as a poet.
Meltzer authored numerous books throughout his life; collections of poetry including Ragas, Two-Way Mirror, David’s Copy, and When I Was a Poet; the Agency Trilogy (fiction); and books on the Beat Generation Beat Thing and San Francisco Beat: Talking With the Poets. He also taught poetics at New College of California. He passed away in 2016.Full video is 54 minutes.
