Celebrating the release of Daniel W. Wright’s new book, Snake Oil.
Kevin Ridgeway is a local from Whittier, CA, where he resides in a shady bungalow with his girlfriend and their one-eyed cat. His work has appeared in Bank-Heavy Press, Gutter Eloquence Magazine, Santa Fe Literary Review and Zygote in my Coffee, among many others. His latest chapbook is All the Rage (Electric Windmill Press, 2013). Ridgeway is also the publisher behind Dark Heart Press.
Charlie Getter is pennsylvania dutch, but wants you to know that he doesn’t think they exist anymore besides funnel cake stands at county fairs…also he does poems on a street corner, so, there’s that!
Liz Cahill is a poet, producer and curator based in the Mission. Her writing explores the impacts of late stage capitalism, income inequality and waste, while trying to find beauty in the garbage age. She’s the co-founder of Decentered Arts, a non-profit building resilient community through art of all mediums. She’s the co-host of Decentered at The Center weekly open mic and co-founder of the Poolside Poets reading series.
Daniel W. Wright is a writer and poet from St. Louis, Missouri, where he hosts two regular poetry series, runs event programming for beloved St. Louis independent bookshop Dunaway Books, and is cofounder of Back of the Class Press. He’s the author of Rodeo of the Soul (Spartan, 2019), Brian Epstein Died for You (Spartan, 2020), Love Letters from the Underground (poetry, Spartan, 2021), and Call Center (Back of the Class, 2024), among others. His latest book is Snake Oil (Dark Heart, 2024).
