Collected Poems of Bob Kaufman by Bob Kaufman
$19.95
Bob Kaufman is known to be one of the finest jazz poets of his generation. He was born in 1925 in New Orleans and made his way to San Francisco in the late 1950’s while in his 30’s. Along with Allen Ginsberg and other collaborators he co-founded the magazine, Beatitude. His most popular books were published in the 1960’s, Solitudes Crowded with Loneliness and Ancient Rain. Bob died in 1986 at the age of 60.
This is a beautiful compilation of Kaufman’s poems that are organized into five sections, including three books published during his lifetime, and one long, originally-unpublished poem called “Does the Secret Mind Whisper.”
