---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1). ORIGINAL WOODSTOCK TICKETS -
We announced original Woodstock Tickets for sale recently, but the link didn't necessarily work with all browsers. Some folks were able to make it work but we got a few calls from others asking us how to make a purchase. These are original Woodstock tickets from 1969 and they're in Very Good shape! They cost $75.00 each and you can buy as many as you like by clicking this "working" link:

2). WE'RE GONNA PAINT!
We put out a call for some assistance to help us "spiffy up" the place for when we premier our new Counterculture Exhibition this summer. We received literally dozens of responses from people who wanna help. I expect we'll be doing this in the next 30-45 days (probably on a Sunday). We'll be doing some other minor fix-ups beyond just painting. So, if you haven't already signed up, send an email to info@kerouac.com with the words "I Wanna Paint" in the subject line. (If you've already sent a note, we have your email in a file and will let you know when we're ready to go.)

4). POETRY AND BOOKSIGNING - THE BEAT MUSEUM - FRIDAY 3/12/10 - 7:30 pm
IRAQ VETS AGAINST THE WAR
Jon Michael Turner is a former US Marine who is now part of Iraq Vets Against the War. In 2008 he testified at Winter Soldier in Washington, DC. This will be Jon's third appearance at The Beat Museum. I have found him to be a truth-teller, a gentle spirit and a man with a conscience. Join us Friday night as Jon tells the story of his time at war and reads from his book of poetry, "Eat the Apple". Whatever your position on US involvement in either Afghanistan or Iraq, I hope you'll agree Jon Michael Turner has earned the right to tell his story. And I hope you come to hear it.

5). CAREER ACTION CENTER - (Mention The Beat Museum and get 15% off!)
Need help with your resume? Haven't interviewed in many years and could use a few tips? Considering opening your own business but don't know how to start?
It may seem to be a contradiction to some that The Beat Museum is offering to point people who have work related needs to a Professional Career Counselor, but that's exactly what we we're doing here. And why are we doing it? For two reasons:
A). Because the Professional Career Counselor in question is my wife, Estelle and -
B)). Because she's that good!
A lot of people are really hurting, both here in Northern California and across the USA (and beyond). And Estelle has skills and abilities that have helped thousands. She regularly works with Fortune 100 companies, small businesses and individual jobseekers. Estelle has an MA in Career Counseling from JFK University and has guided thousands that have been laid off back into the workforce.
Estelle's business experience is extensive. As an entrepreneur she has created and operated her own sole proprietorships, corporations and non-profits. One of the businesses she created won the SBA Small Business of the Year Award. Because so many jobs have been lost in the last few years, many people today are going to work for themselves. Estelle's speciality while working with people who have been laid off in Silicon Valley is Entrepreneurial Coaching.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
- You can meet with Estelle in Monterey, San Jose or San Francisco.
