The North Beach branch of the San Francisco Public Library will be moving into their new building later this year. There are a number of large format photographs of Jack Kerouac that have been gracing their walls for the last few years. Last week the SFPL donated those items to The Beat Museum.
The great thing about these photographs is they show Kerouac working with a scroll type document (it’s actually The Dharma Bums) at his home in Florida. Coincidentally, he’s also wearing the exact same clothing in the photograph that we have on display on the second floor of The Beat Museum.
Sit back and watch as these photos of Jack walk the streets of North Beach to their new home at The Beat Museum.
